James E. Hopper, of Viola, son of the late Gene Hopper and Jessie M. Foster Hopper, was born January 5, 1941 in Elizabeth, AR. He died February 6, 2015 at Hospice House of the Ozarks in Mountain Home, at the age of 74 years 1 months and 1 day.
He was a a self employed truck driver. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his children: Shelly Renea Townlian and husband Mark of Crane, MO; Gina Lorrain Conley and husband Brian of Pomona, MO; and Lori Gaye Smith of Highlandville, MO; grandchildren: Jennifer Lynn Townlian, Lisa Marie Rice, Robert Allen Townlian, James David Carsten, Johnny Tai Loo, Jeffery Mark Loo, Jacob Todd Loo, Heather Ann Wolf, and Jedediah James Smith; great grandchildren: Keyton, Mason, Wyatt, Noah, Zoey, Hayden, Briar, Brandon, Dylan, Hayden, Brooklyn, Kiala, Aubree and Baylee; his sisters: Joyce Lawyer and husband Melvin of North Powder, OR, and Sharon Batterton and husband Jim of Viola and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Hopper and his father and mother.
