Homer H. Hales, now resides with his Heavenly Father. He was born in Gary, Indiana. He served his country in the 176th Infantry during WWII. He was the owner and operator of Hales Service Station for 27 years. He retired from Peter Eckrich & Sons in 1982.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Agnes, of 58 years; son, Kerry Mary Jo Hales of Anderson; Daughter, Kathleen McClanahan of Crown Point; Brothers, Warren Marylyn Hales and George Elaine Hales; Sister, Shirley Gene Isolamp; Loving Niece, Patricia Hales, and other nieces & nephews. The joy of his life was his grandchildren, Brian & Jeffrey McClanahan, Gregory, Sarah, Rebecca and Jonathon Hales.
He loved studying and teaching God’s Word and doing woodworking projects. He could make an engine purr like a kitten. His replica of Noah’s Ark was one of his crowning achievements.
