Holly Lynn Soucek Timm, the daughter of Joan (Wratten) and James L. Soucek, was born June 28, 1959 at Hastings, Nebraska. She departed this life unexpectedly at her home in Kearney, Nebraska on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the age of 58 years, 4 months and 30 days.
A lifelong resident of the area, Holly received her formal education attending the Bladen schools and graduated with the class of 1977. While in high school she was involved in a variety of activities including cheerleading, sports, volleyball and baton twirling. Holly was employed with Walgreens for a period of time, she sold vacuum cleaners in the area, then for a number of years she worked for KN Energy as a secretary. She always took great pride in her organization, efficiency and determination to complete her tasks with perfection.
Following her marriage they moved to Roseland where Holly worked in the family business. In 2001, they moved back to Bladen where they farmed and operated Central Truck & Irrigation, LLC in Hastings. In 2011, they moved south of Hastings to make their home. Holly had been a resident of Kearney since October of 2017.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents; her brother, Timothy Alan Soucek on July 13, 1970, and uncle, Dr. Charles Soucek.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Traci and husband Casey Olson of Kenesaw, Nebraska; son, Chad Timm of Doniphan, Nebraska; three grandchildren, Drake and Bentley Olson and Karsyn Meyer; her parents, Joan and Jim Soucek of Hastings, Nebraska; brothers, Mitch Soucek and wife Cindy and Jeff Soucek; other relatives and a host of friends.
A memorial fund has been established by the family.
