Hobert “Mike” Russell Powers, 69 of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019 in St Marys, WV. He was born July 1, 1950 in Clarksburg; the son of the late Argyle Ray Powers Sr and Ruth Marple Baxter.
Mike worked for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 132. His hobbies were riding his Harley and Racing Cars and working and fixing automobiles and motorcycles.
Mike is survived by four children, Michael Powers and Cathy Cochran, Clarksburg, Chad Powers and Courtney Powers both of Elkins, Deborah “Dee” Powers and husband Michael of Stonewood,; seven grandchildren, Destiny, Delbert “DJ”, Harley, Michael, Airiella, Calionna, Charleigh; one great granddaughter, Michele and one on the way; siblings, Argyle Ray Powers Jr and Linda, Beech Island, SC, Delbert Powers, Vermilion, OH, Penny Hightower, Lake Wales, FL, Jeanine Wiseman, Walkersville, WV, Linda Thomas, Hopkinsville, KY, Phyllis Matheny and Bill, Linthicum, MD, Charles Baxter, Sardis, Claude Baxter, Cadiz, KY.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his son, Delbert Ray Powers on April 11, 2019; one daughter, Michele Powers Dodd on January 14, 2016; grandson, Robert Anthony Dodd, February 17, 2018; siblings, Clyde Powers, Butch Powers and Stanley Baxter.
