He was preceded in death by his brother Brady V. Brown and his parents Hillis L. Brown, Sr. and Irene Brown.
Survivors include his children Hillis L Brown III (Emily), Willie L. Brown (Amanda), Aran K. Lang (David); his grandchildren Jordan, Kayla, Alanna, Callie, Hana, and Rory; the mother of his children Ae Kyeong Chan; his sisters Scotia Johnson and Zora Vazquez.
