Hilda Ruth (Barclay) Wilhite, 84, of Whiteland, Indiana, passed away at her residence on Thursday, February 3, 2022. She left this world just as she lived it, fighting until the end, surrounded by her loved ones.
Hilda was born in Gadsden, Alabama on November 6, 1937 to the late Mack and Katherine (Rary) Barclay.
Hilda is survived by the love of her life, Mary Burge Keller; her daughters, Ann Hyatt and Pam Ramsey; her sons, Gene (Ginger) Jewell, Sonny (Sherri) Wilhite, and Glen (Erin) Wilhite; her sister, Helen Jewell; several grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great-grandkids.
Hilda was preceded in death by two children, Becky Carr and Eddie Jewell, and her parents.
Hilda retired after 30 dedicated years from Johnson County Senior Services. She enjoyed going to auctions and yard sales, spending time with her family, and making everyone laugh by cracking jokes.
