Hilda Law passed away in Montpelier, Idaho on January 21, 2017, at age 93.
Hilda Margaret Pomeroy Law was born on May 23, 1923 in London England. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert Pomeroy and Clara Elizabeth Barton; three brothers, Albert William Pomeroy, Ronald Pomeroy, Bernard Victor Pomeroy, and one sister, Irene Francis Pomeroy Levy. She is survived by three sons, Ronald (Jolene), Wayne (Napua), Roger; nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and a sister-in- law, Beth Woolstenhulme, along with many nieces and nephews.
Hilda was the youngest of five children. She had one sister and three brothers. As she grew up in England, she liked to listen to classical music, opera, and the mellow music of the time. She also liked to knit and enjoyed the game of cricket and had always dreamed of becoming a ballerina. At age of 6 she started school and at age 11 went on to an all-girls’ school. During World War II, Hilda worked different jobs to help support her family. She and her family lost their home and possessions during the bombing of London.
