Hilda M. (Huppers) Clement, 94, of Virginia, IL passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Walker Nursing Home in Virginia surrounded by her family.
Hilda was born on September 9, 1922 in Beardstown, IL, the daughter of William and Lillie (Schall) Huppers. She married Jesse “JR” Clement on January 18, 1946, in Virginia and he preceded her in death on June 28, 1976.
She is survived by two sons, David (Karen) Clement and Mike (Lisa) Clement, all of Virginia; five grandchildren, Brian Clement of Hanover Park, Chris (Callie) Clement of Pontiac, Steven (Ashley) Clement, Jessica Clement, and Nick Clement, all of Virginia; six great-grandchildren, Drew, Brock and Leah Clement of Pontiac, and Hallie, Will and Emma Clement of Virginia; and her wonderful caregivers, Denise Richards, Athena Brissey, Amanda Hagloch, and the staff of Walker Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Huppers, and extended family.
Hilda was a homemaker and formerly worked in factories during WW II and later in food service for Virginia High School. She enjoyed playing cards, spending time with her family, and cooking and baking.
