Mrs. Hilda Long Cofield, age 90, of Newnan, GA passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Insignia Personal Care Home of Newnan surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Cofield was born on October 2, 1925, in Newnan, GA to the late Wiley Frank Long and Minnie Thrower Long.
She worked many years as a Secretary for the Coweta County Commissioner’s Office. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Elsie Long Hardison and Betty Long. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 68 years, Ted Cofield; children and their spouses, Harriet (Doyle) Steele, Debbie (Ronnie) Gore, Cindy (Joe) Mathers, Nancy (Mark) Warren, Laurie (Steve) Ford, Thomas (Donna) Cofield; sisters, Ruby McMichael, Laura Long; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
