Hilda C. (Vester) Menne, 87, of LaSalle, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012, at her caregiver’s home in LaSalle. Mrs. Menne was born July 23, 1925, in Oglesby to William and Clara (Berkemier) Vester.
She married John J. Menne on February 14, 1967, in Dallas, TX. Mrs. Menne was a former member of St. Joseph’s Church in Peru. She worked at Illinois Valley Container for 21 years and also worked at various veterinary clinics.
Survivors include her caregivers, Glen (Carol) Myer of LaSalle; two children, Sharla Collier of Canyon, TX, and Carl Michael Feldhaus of Clarksville, TN; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on October 17, 1981; one daughter, Cathy Yaw; one sister, Annabelle Trump and one brother, Henry Vester.
