Hester B. Towle, 87, of Fortville, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2009 in North Manchester, Indiana. She was born January 29, 1922 in Fortville to the late Harold and Dora (Chambers) Brown. Hester retired from the former Delco-Remy plant in Anderson.
She had been a member of the Fortville Christian Church and enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening. Hester is survived by daughters Loretta (Dan) Mithoefer; Deborah Lockman; son Wayne Towle; 5 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and sisters Dorothy Fluhr and Goldie Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin F. Towle; grandson Jason Mithoefer; brother Robert Brown and twin sister Helen Chesterfield.
