Hershel Copeland, 90, Anderson, died September 22, 2005 after an extended illness.
He was born April 21, 1915 in Monterey, Tennessee, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He lived in this area since 1949. He retired in 1981 from Philadelphia Quartz Corporation after 32 years of service. He served his country in the US Army during WWII and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed watching television.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Mildred Sells Copeland. Children: Gary & wife Carla Copeland, Keith & wife Patty Copeland and Christa & husband Thomas St. Clair, all of Anderson. Five Grandchildren: Jason Copeland of Muncie, Kara Copeland and Keli Copeland of Muncie and Mark St. Clair and Sara St. Clair of Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Pearl Copeland Brown. Daughter: Cathy Copeland Monday. Granddaughter: Rachel Monday.
