Mr. Herschel Wayne Dalton, age 90 of Dahlonega. Mr. Dalton passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014. Herschel was born on November 11, 1923 in Tabor, Iowa to the late William Dalton and Bernice Everham Dalton. In 1942, he graduated from Hamburg High School in Hamburg, Iowa, later attending Northwest Missouri State. Herschel would enter the United States Navy where he served with honor in the South Pacific.
He is survived locally by his niece Victoria Dalton Loggins of Murrayville and nephew, Brian Dalton of Demorest. In addition, Herschel is survived by is brother, Harold Dalton as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
