Hermine Elizabeth Nielsen, 91, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away on January 23, 2021.
Hermine was born on February 5th, 1929 in New York to the late Hermine and Richard Mors. Due to the Great Depression, Hermine’s parents sent her to live with her grandparents in Germany. She returned to the US after World War II. Circa 1955 she relocated to Miami, FL. where she met her husband Reimer “Chris” Nielsen. They moved to Port St. Lucie in 1981.
Hermine worked as a dental assistant for several years before becoming a full-time homemaker. She was a devoted wife and mother whose family was her number one priority.
She was preceded in death by her husband Chris, her brother Richard Mors, and her sister Rosemarie Mors.
Hermine is survived by her children Diane (James) Evans and Cleve (Karen) Nielsen, grandchildren Jody (Lynn) Pyles, Jayla (Ryan) Murphy, Amberley Bays, Alex (Briana) Nielsen, and Joelle Bailey; and great-grandchildren Hannah Murphy, Jered Pyles, Genevieve, and Christian Nielsen.
