Herman D. Luce of Oxnard passed away at the age of 87 on January 25, 2013. Herman was born to Earl and Vera Luce on October 2, 1925 in McCook, Nebraska. He enlisted in the Army Air Corp in 1943. After serving 20 years he retired from United States Air Force in 1968. After moving to the Oxnard area in the ‘70s he drove the West Way Lines Charter for 15 years, then drove new cars to storage lots for PVP ‘til 2008. Herman enjoyed reading, country and western music, square dancing and RVing. He was a member of the Ventura Elks Lodge #1430, and The Rambling Squares camping club.
Mr. Luce is survived by a daughter, son-n-law, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons, 4 stepchildren, and 2 sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, 2 brothers, and a sister.
