Mrs. Herlinda Pelaez Carracedo, age 78, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Miguel Angel Carracedo, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 in the family’s home in Madison. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Enfantes-Pelaez, she was born on October 12, 1930 in Oriente, Cuba. She was a seamstress for the former Warner Corporation in Bridgeport until her retirement. Herlinda loved sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Her passions were her grandchildren, traveling, and her vacation home on Cape Cod. Survivors include her devoted daughter, Rosemary Gates and her husband Wayne of Madison, two grandchildren, Melinda Gates of Waterford and Kenneth Gates of Madison, and a sister in Cuba.
