Herlinda Ephlin
October 31, 1938 – May 23, 2022
Herlinda R. Ephlin, age 83, went home to be with Our Lord in Heaven on Monday May 23, 2022 at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of Harlingen born in the Stuart Place area on October 31, 1938, daughter of Mr. Reyes Rodriguez and Mrs. Guadalupe Mendoza. She was one of nine siblings.
Linda was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church and longtime nurse at Valley Baptist Medical Center most of her life. She worked hard and loved being a nurse. She retired after many years of faithful service. Herlinda also loved traveling and visited many destinations around the world including Germany, Paris, Spain, Mexico and Italy just to name a few. She also enjoyed gardening her roses
She is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her daughters, Darwin L. Beyer, her second husband, John Ephlin, her grandson, Oscar Longoria Jr., brother, Fidel Rodriguez and sister, Alicia Rodriguez De Luna.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her two daughters, Carmel Guadalupe Beyer Longoria of New Braunfels, TX, Lisa Monet Beyer of Austin, TX, Grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Longoria of Austin, TX and Alejandro L. Longoria of New Braunfels, TX, Siblings, Mary Mata of Staten Island, NY, Guadalupe Lucio of Katy, TX, Nieves Garcia of Harlingen, TX, Janie Freeman of San Antonio, TX, Arnulfo Rodriguez Jr. of La Feria, TX and Luciano Rodriguez of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.
