He was born March 16, 1916 in Quencio, Michoacan, Mexico to the union of Enrique Esqueda Telles and Petra Arteaga.
Prior to his retirement, Heriberto had worked in the agriculture industry for 42 years.
He is survived by children, Gildardo Esqueda of San Antonio, Texas, Rosa Maria Zavala of Oxnard, CA, Baldemar Esqueda of Zacapu, Mich., Mexico, Fausto Esqueda of Oxnard, CA, Elizabeth Esqueda of Port Hueneme, CA, Heriberto Esqueda Jr. of Oxnard and Maria Gloria Carranza of Oxnard, CA; including 26 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
