Lakeland – Herbert Yelvington, 67, passed away Friday, December 13, 2013, as a result of heart failure.
Mr. Yelvington was born December 30, 1945 in Lakeland, FL and remained a lifelong resident. He was employed by Florida Tile where he served as a production supervisor for 35 years. Mr. Yelvington retired in 2000. In 2002, he went back to work, with his family, at Mail Processing Associates where he served as an ink jet operator until 2012. Mr. Yelvington could fix anything and he had many interests.
Mr. Yelvington is survived by his beloved wife of over 49 years, Priscilla Yelvington; sons, James Herbert Yelvington and his wife, Susan and Robert Yelvington and his wife, Tess; daughter, Rachel Moore and her husband, Michael; brother, Frank Yelvington and his wife, Gail; sister in law, Carol Yelvington; and grandchildren, Michael, Dalton, Megan, Ashleigh, Alex, Jake and Kristin.
