Herbert Richard Byrne
The son of Granvle Gerald Byrne and Margaret Geraldine (Coffey) Byrne, Herbert was born on November 26, 1947 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and passed away on May 3, 2022 in a Denton, Texas hospital at the age of 74 years 5 months and 7 days.
A life-long resident of Ardmore, Herbert graduated from Dickson High School. Herbert had worked as a security guard with the Noble Foundation. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, outdoors, watching all types of sports, dirt track races but his favorite hobby was playing pool. Herbert would travel to Las Vegas to play in pool tournaments and had won numerous trophies over the years.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra of the home; sons, Shawn Byrne and wife Katie and their son, Grayson, Gregory Byrne, Richard Poe and Jordan Smith; daughters, Jessica Smith and Shiloh Smith; step-daughter, Lisa Gwin; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Claude Hamilton, Corky Day and Harold Lee. Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Debra Bowser; brother, Granvle Gerry Byrne.
