Herbert Banning, 81, of Flagstaff died May 24, 2012. He was born April 22, 1931, in Camp Verde, AZ to Perry and Ida Banning.
He served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Des Moines, during the Koran Conflict. Mr. Banning moved to Flagstaff in 1961 where he Barbered for 50 years many of them at the Mt. Elden Barber Shop. In his leisure time, he was an avid bowler.
He is survived by his wife Billie, 2 daughters Julia Borg (Andy) and Katherine Gee (David); 9 grandchildren and 4 ½ great-grandchildren; 2 sisters Martha Grimes (Tommy), and Louise Bartholomew; a brother Stanley Banning, and many nieces and Nephews.
