Mr. Herbert Clinton Gleaton, 76, a resident of Valley, AL passed away Friday, June 27, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Gleaton is survived by his wife, Frances Gleaton, sons, Jeff (Luann) Gleaton of Beulah; Toney Gleaton of Chambers County, AL; & Michael (Claudia) Gleaton of Lake Harding; grandchildren, Lauren, Brooke, Kristan, Nicole, & Lanier Gleaton; brothers, Edward Gleaton of Cusseta, Wayne Gleaton, of Valley & Crew (Debbie) Gleaton of LaFayette and many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He was the son of the late Henry Clinton Gleaton and Mae Welch Gleaton.
Mr. Gleaton was a founding member of the Beulah Volunteer Fire Department, serving as Assistant Fire Chief for a period of time. He retired from Uniroyal-Goodrich in Opelika in 1993. In his youth, he was an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of the Beulah United Methodist Church. He was a wonderful family man, friend and Christian and will be missed by all.
