Herbert (Herb) Gay Griffin, born November 28, 1935, in Spokane, Washington, passed away May 18, 2019, in Rockledge, Florida, at the age of 83. He passed at the Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice House with family by his side.

Born to Herbert Thomas Griffin and Ellen Gay Griffin, Herb grew up in Ogden, Utah. After honorably serving in the United States Air Force Reserve, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant, and working as a lab technician for Thiokol Corporation,

Herb became a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative with Sandoz Pharmaceuticals. His career took him and his family from Ogden to Omaha, Nebraska, eventually relocating for the majority of his career in Denver, Colorado. He loved his work, and built many lifelong friendships because of it. Throughout his life, Herb never struggled to make friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Nancy Lee Griffin of Rockledge, Florida, his parents, the premature pediatric passing of his twin brothers Lester Griffin and Thomas Griffin, and later in life, his brother David Griffin of Missoula, Montana.

Herb is survived by his son, Rod (Sonya) Griffin of Cocoa Beach, Florida; daughters, Carrie (Alan) Joles of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Elizabeth Griffin of Clearfield, Utah; brother, Del Jason Griffin of Ogden, Utah; sister-in-law, Marilyn Griffin of Missoula, Montana; brother-in-law, Donald Frederick of Houston, Texas; brother-in-law, Bud (Linda) Fredrick of Bakersfield; granddaughters, Tiffannie Chorack, Brenda Tabura and Allison Forrester; grandson, Charles Rainsdon; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and devoted friends which Herb established wherever he lived.
