Suddenly on January 16, 2022, Herbert C. Hoover, a resident of Rockhill Beach, Pasadena for the past 49 years died. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen. He is also survived by a son, Curtis C. Hoover, of Stevensville, MD, and a daughter, Kathryn L. Morris of Pasadena, daughter-in-law, Sharon Hoover and a son-in-law, David C. Morris, Sr. He was the proud grandfather of Brandy Milligan, Curtis Hoover, Jr., Kristy Brown, Heather Kerlavage, and David Morris, Jr. He was also the great grandfather of Karl J. Milligan, Jr., Alyssa J. Milligan, Alison D. Milligan, Jameson J. Milligan, Riley K. Brown, and Katelyn R. Brown.
Mr. Hoover grew up in Baltimore City where he attended public schools. He is a graduate of Southern High School, the Community College, and the University of Maryland of Baltimore with a B.S. in Law Enforcement.
Mr. Hoover retired from the Baltimore Police Department where he served for 25 years from 1960 to 1985. He was then employed by the Baltimore Gas & Electric Company for 16 years from 1985 to 2002, when he retired again.
His interests included: His family, gardening, physical fitness, and reading.
