Henryk Sienkiewicz, 89, of New Britain, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Hospital of Central CT. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria (Aftanas) Sienkiewicz. Born in Poland, son of the late Stanislaw and Maria (Byczek) Sienkiewicz, he was a New Britain resident for over 60 years and a member of Holy Cross Church, New Britain and the General Haller Post. In his early years, he spent time as a laborer in Germany during World War II and spent 8 years in England serving as part of the U. S. Army Guard Company. He retired from Fafnir Bearing, Co. after 32 years of employment. A loving father, he leaves his two children, Stanislaw Sienkiewicz and Brenda Carmody of New Britain and Diane Sienkiewicz and Debra Synott of Westbrook.
