Henry Ralph Haddock, 90, a longtime resident of Amelia Island, Florida, passed away January 5, 2021 in Melbourne, Florida.

 

Henry was born May 10, 1930, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Henry Clyde Haddock and Annie Louise Briggs Haddock. Henry spent his life on Amelia Island, graduating from Fernandina Beach High School.  Shortly after graduation, Henry joined the Air Force where he served for four years.

 

His time in the military done, Henry returned to Amelia Island where he married his wife of 62 years, Wyona Lucille Deen Haddock on August 16, 1957.  The couple moved to Gainesville, Florida, where Henry earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Building Construction from the University of Florida.  Henry spent his career working in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area.

 

Henry enjoyed many hobbies during his lifetime including golf, sailing, and crossword puzzles.

 

Henry is pre-deceased by his parents and elder brother Marion Haddock.

 

He is survived by his wife; his son Henry Deen Haddock and his wife Janet Montgomery Haddock of Winter Garden, FL; his daughter Kimberly Haddock Lehrich and her husband Marc Lehrich of Cocoa FL; brother Lynne Haddock and his wife Theresa of Maggie Valley, NC; and sister-in-law Mary Haddock of Palatka, FL.  He is also survived by four granddaughters: Lindsey Haddock Seehaver and her husband Alex; Megan Haddock; Caitlin Poor Finneman and her husband Matthew; and Savannah Poor.  Henry’s first great grandchild Anna will arrive March 2021.
