Henry passed away Friday, August 2, 2019 at Sheffield Bay Assisted Living at the age of 89 years. Henry was born in Butler, Pennsylvania on May 27, 1930 to the late Henry and Ellen (Sasse) McEvoy. He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and served his country in the United States Army. Henry worked and retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. He married the former RoseMary Stevens on November 4, 1950 and she passed away on November 28, 2018. Henry was a world champion weightlifter, official for football and basketball and umpire for baseball. He also enjoyed playing different sports and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Henry is survived by his daughters, Sharon (Bill) Westphal and Linda (Vic) Schultz; grandchildren, Dylan McEvoy, Andy (Kaycee) Alvesteffer and Erin (Ryan) Ludwick; great grandchildren, Henry, Ryder, Nora and two on the way; sister, Charlotte Halasinski; sister-in-law, Joan McEvoy; daughter-in-law, Donna McEvoy and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his son, Henry McEvoy.
