Henry R. Bowers, 74, of Newington, passed away on Tuesday, September 15th, 2015, at John Dempsey Hospital. He was the beloved husband to Joyce (Adams) Bowers for just under 46 years. Born in Hartford, son of the late Edward and Pearl (Turcotte) Bowers, he was a West Hartford resident and graduated from Conard High School. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. Henry moved to Newington in 1969 and was a member of St. Mary’s Church. He enjoyed spending time in his garden, repairing and building things, his Model “A” Ford and setting up his Christmas Village every year. He also loved cooking, especially pierogis, and liked reading. Along with his wife, he leaves his brother, Edward Bowers and his wife Ann of Newington, his niece Lori Siriano and her husband Jonathan and their children, Dylan and Aiden Siriano.
