He had eleven siblings, Louise Fisher, Irene Hardin, William Ernest, Roy McClendon, Hugh Dorsey, Grace Gupton, Bertha Hudgins, James Frank, and Martha Jean, all deceased. Frances Everette and Floyd McClendon Jr, still living.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 68 years, Dorothy Ramey Bearden, sons and wives. Nathan Duane and Janet, Dr. Dwight Lee and Rhonda, Rev David Stephen and Connie. Eight grandchildren, Matthew, Leslie, Alexis Hill, husband Donny, Brett, Garrett, wife Casey, Bethany, Stephen, and Anna. Great grandchildren, Gavin and Zoe Jayne Bearden, Zechariah Hill.
