Henry J. Durant, 81 of Plainville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at The Connecticut Hospice. He was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn (Miller) Durant. Henry was born on October 23, 1929 in Groveton, New Hampshire to the late Henry I. and Flora (Smith) Durant.
Henry proudly served his country in the United States Marines. He and his wife Marilyn lived and raised their family in New Britain and Plainville. Henry was employed in 1967 with Northeast Utilities as a truck driver until his retirement. His dedication was not unnoticed and he received the Quality Drivers Award.
He leaves his 5 loving children Henry G. “Hank” Durant and his wife Judy of Biloxi, MS; Daniel A. Durant of Plainville; Patricia Ann Danielak and her husband Stanley of Berlin; William J. Durant and his wife Sandra of Bristol and Robert E. Durant and his wife Diane of Newington, along with 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Durant.
