Born in Ridgewood, New York, Hank, a tool and die maker, moved from New York to Ft. Lauderdale in 1967, then to this area in 1990. He served in the United States Army during WWII, and was a member of the Edgewater Elks and the New Smyrna Beach VFW. Hank loved fishing and boating, animals, plants, especially orchids, and cooking.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Honora “Marie”; 2 daughters, Dale (Joe) Paternoster of New Smyrna Beach, and Meg (John) Misinec of Branford, Florida; 1 son, Glenn Klotzsche of Ft. White, Florida; 2 sisters, Charlotte Brown of Babylon, New York, and Ella Realy of Port Charlotte, Florida; 5 grandchildren, Kurt Klotzsche, Beth (Greg) Paternoster-Norris, Derek (Heather) Paternoster, Sean (Heather) Misinec, and Erin Misinec; 1 great-grandchild, Turk Klotzsche; and many lifelong friends.
