We lost our beloved Dad, “Hank” at the age of 95. Our hearts are broken. All of his children surrounded him in the last days before he went to Heaven.

Preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Gabrielle Anthone; his dear wife of 70 years, Janet C. Rosschaert) Anthone; his sister, Leona Lippire, and his brother Robert Anthone. Survived by his children, Barb (Mike) Hoody, Nancy (Walter) Fay, Jim (Jeanne) Anthone, John (Linda) Anthone, , Dan (Tricia) Anthone, Julie (Joe- deceased) Shedron; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren: brother, Albert Anthone; sisters in law, Patricia Anthone, Joan Moran, Sally Walsh; numerous nieces and nephews. Hank was born in Omaha, NE, the 2nd of 4 children to Belgian immigrants. He lived in South Omaha, until his family moved into the apartment at St. Cecelia’s Cathedral. He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1945, and then enlisted in the Navy as soon as he turned 18 years old in July.

If you were lucky enough to hear him laugh, that sound will live forever in your heart. It was contagious and joyful.

We all know that Dad is in Heaven reunited with Mom, and that gives us a great deal of comfort. Their love was something we always admired. We will miss him greatly even though we are thankful they are together again.
