Henry Eric”Hank” Bates also known as Booger died Saturday April 2, 2016 at the Jackson Medical Center. Hank is preceeded in death by father Henry Bates and brother Brett Bates. Hank is survived by his mother Doris, sister Sandra McClinton(Tony), niece Melanie Bates, niece Tracy Horton (John), nephew Eddie McClinton (Angela), niece Brittany Tarver , nephew Jonathan Tarver, numerious cousins, aunts and uncles. Hank had a love for people and an infectious personality. He was known for his humor and unique laugh. People would gravitate to him and listen intently as he told one of the dozens of stories that he was known for. When you were around Hank you knew you would be entertained Even with the aches and pains and medical problem that plagued Hank the last few years he kept that sense of humor and personality. During this time Hank also developed a strong relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loved his family and was a kind and loyal son, brother uncle and cousin. Among his numerous enjoyments were his mastery on the grill. Hank loved cooking and eating. He also followed the Alabama Crimson Tide football team with passion.
