Henry “Hank” Blaszczyk, age 84 of Wheatfield, IN passed away on March 17, 2014 in Mishawauka, IN. He was born on August 6, 1929 in Chicago, IL to Stanley and Helen (Malinowska) Blaszczyk, both deceased.
Hank was a lifetime resident of Wheatfield, IN and graduated with the Wheatfield High School Class of 1948. He then proudly served in the National Guard. On July 14, 1951 in Wheatfield, IN he married the love of his life Patty Green, and she survives.
Hank was a member of the Local 150 Operating Engineer, district 7.
Hank was a member of the Wheatfield American Legion, Wheatfield Lions Club and the DeMotte Bowling League. He was also a member of the Wheatfield Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church.
In his spare time, Hank enjoyed being an amateur inventor, professional tinkerer and an avid fisherman.
Hank is survived by his loving wife; Patty and children; Jill (Kirk) Kozak of Wheatfield, IN, Mark (Jill “Beanie”) Blaszczyk of Valparaiso, IN, Terri (Kenny Miller) Kerns of Wheatfield, IN, and Tim (Rachelle) Blaszczyk of Kouts, IN. 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great grandchildren.
Hank is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Casimer and Frank Blaszczyk.
