Mr. Henry E. Morris, affectionately known as “Buster,” a longtime resident of Frankville, was born Sept. 13, 1947 to the late Mr. Essie Morris and Mrs. Alma Morris Moody. He departed this life in exchange for eternal life on Aug. 20, 2020.
Preceding him in death were his parents; stepfather, Jimmy Moody; his brother, Robert James “Bay-Bay” Morris; and grandparents, Isaiah and Eva Howell.
Buster confessed Christ at an early age. He was a member of the Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Frankville under the leadership of the Rev. L.T. Lang. He was a member of the Morning Stars Quartet, where he played the guitar for many years. Buster, along with his uncle and first cousins traveled and sang for the Lord in many churches all over the states.
He is survived by his loving and devoted significant other, Hattie Marie Woodyard; four daughters, Cassandra Williams of Vallejo, Calif., Phyllis Phillips of Seattle, Wash., Marie Woodard of Chatom and Shimaine Woodard of Frankville; one son, Michael Taylor of Birmingham and one stepson, Al Woodard of Kansas City, Mo.; 18 grandchildren, four devoted, Akeelah, Monesha, Keyshawn and Dontez Woodard; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruth Morris; with a host of nieces, four devoted, Roshanda Woodard, Keidra Woodard, LaKindra Woodard and Cynthia Leggins, nephews and other relatives; and friends, 10 devoted, George and Danny Boykin, M.C., N.L., Earnest Sashington, Andre Herring, Marcus Smith, Timothy Harmon, Mike Jones and William Green.
