He retired from the City of Huntsville’s Parks and Recreation Department with 28 years of service. He was survived by his wife of 45 years, Vivian Locke Daniel and by his son, Steven L. Daniel, and by his brother-in-law, T.L. Christiansen. He was preceded in death by his son, Curtis Wayne Daniel and by his sister, Lessie Lee Christiansen.
