Henry Baldwin “Bud” Tanton, 94, of Eureka, IL passed away at 10:50 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka. He was born on May 30, 1923 in Peoria, IL to Glenwood C. and Cecilia B. (Ward) Tanton. He married Mary Elizabeth McClellan on August 26, 1950 in Delavan, WI. She survives.
Also surviving are children, Chuck (Sue) Tanton, Metamora; Steve (Maria) Tanton, Cazenovia; Barbara Reierson, Elko, NV; Susan (Jim) Swanson, Eagan, MN; Bud Tanton, Jr., Bloomington; Jim (Donna) Butler, Crawfordville, FL; fourteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and his sister, Charlotte Bash, Champaign, IL.
Bud was a U.S. Navy and Army Air Corps Veteran serving in the South Pacific during World War II.
