Helene McGee, nee Koppel, age 76 of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Collinsville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Helene was born April 19, 1944 in Washington, DC. Helene was an extremely talented singer. She loved singing Jazz, Swing and Big Band style music.
She made a living with her angelic voice working many lounge circuits and truly enjoyed spending time with other musicians. She always had a love for animals, especially dogs. Helene was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Mildred Koppel, nee Lipman.Surviving are her sisters, Rita Koppel of North Carolina, Diane (John) McAfee of Georgia, Deborah (Jeff) Blom of Florida and Mimi (Kirk) McConnell of Georgia.
