Helena Vatter (Richardson) of Dunnellon, FL passed away on April 4, 2022 at the age of 92. Helena was born on July 3, 1929 in Manchester, England and immigrated to the United States in 1953 where she resided in Rochester, NY. She and her husband Harold moved to Dunnellon, FL in December 1992, shortly after her retirement from the University of Rochester. Upon arriving in Dunnellon, Helena worked for Ocala Orthopaedic Group, where she retired for the second time, after 27 years.
Helena is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold E. Vatter and her son, Steven E. Vatter. Helena is survived by her daughter, Sharon Vatter, Boynton Beach, FL; her daughter, Hilary (Michael) Clark, Senoia, GA; her grandchildren, Margaret Vatter, Boston, MA; Jordyn Clark, Senoia, GA and John Clark, Senoia, GA; daughter-in-law, Angela Vatter, Chicopee, MA; Michele and Leslie Smith, Cape Coral, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
