Helena (Dereglasov) Karpinski, 89, of Dakota, passed away quietly Saturday May 9, 2015 with her loving family in her thoughts and ready to begin her life with the Lord by her side.
She was born August 25, 1925 in Poland.
She married Roman Karpinski in 1945 in Germany and immigrated to the United States shortly thereafter.
She was an avid gardener, enjoyed canning vegetables to share with her family and friends and absolutely loved every flower on earth.
She worked at Honeywell and the Stephenson County Nursing Home until retiring to nurse her ailing husband. After he passed, she devoted herself to her grandchildren and was looking forward to her first great grandchild.
She is survived by her son, Raymond (Nelli) Karpinski, Dakota IL and grandchildren, Michael (Rochelle) Karpinski, Lockport IL Aaron Karpinski and Katie (Robert) Lamoreux (Rock City) and many nieces and nephews in the Ukraine.
Helena was preceded in death by her husband, Roman, son, Henry, daughter-in-law, Carol and her parents, brothers and sisters of the Ukraine.
