Helena Dorothy (White) Lipscomb, 78, of Kingwood, WV, died on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at Preston Memorial Hospital.

Helena was born June 7, 1937, in Oakland, MD, a daughter of the late Arnold Archie and Bertha Dorothy (Moats) White.

She was a member of the Howesville United Methodist Church where she participated in PPR Meetings, Outreach and Ladies Aid, was Assistant Superintendent and she was on the Cooperative Parrish Committee. Helena loved being with her family, reading and working on plastic canvas.

She is survived by eight children and spouses, Arnold and Sharon Lipscomb of Parsons, Cheryl Moats of Oakland, MD, Brad and Marilyn Lipscomb of Kingwood, Bertha and Jim Detar of Dover, PA, Herbert and Kathy Lipscomb of Tunnelton, Martha and Stanley Roby of Masontown, Karen Lipscomb of Kingwood, Loria and Lee Moats of Tunnelton; three brothers and spouses, Roger and Mary White, Russ and Dora White, both of Oakland, MD, Rich and Florence White of Terra Alta; three sisters and spouses, Joann & Roger Vandevender of White Marsh, MD, Josephene Johnson of Tunnelton, Evelyn and Buck McCrobie of Oakland, MD; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Alfred Lipscomb in 1987; one son, Grover Lipscomb; two brothers, Arnold White, Delbert White; two sisters, Norma McGinnis, Madeline Bragg; three grandsons, Samuel Moats, Chad Lipscomb, Michael Durr; three granddaughters, Madison Harties, Betsy Lipscomb, Mary McCloud.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street, on Sunday, October 25, 2015, from 2-4 and 6-8pm; on Monday, October 26, 2015, from 10:00 a.m.
