Helen Wentz Stumpf, native of New Holland, Pennsylvania passed on February 2, 2015 at the age of 96. Helen was the daughter of the late Clara Kohler Wentz and Dr. Paul R. Wentz. She graduated from New Holland High School and received a two-year degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to her marriage, Helen worked as an Occupational Therapist in Philadelphia working primarily with war veterans. She met her husband, Howard through her sister-in-law, “Pink”. Helen and Howard were wed on June 7th, 1947 and celebrated 66 years together prior to Howard’s death in 2013. Helen supported her husband’s career in sales and moved to several states. In 1966 she and Howard moved to Westport, CT., where Helen found an immediate bond especially with its close proximity to NYC. She loved the theatre, museums and bringing family and friends to the City. She especially loved to bring her granddaughter, Alexandra to the Plaza for tea and the Christmas Show at Rockefeller Center.
