Helen Warburton, 86, of Three Oaks, Michigan died Wednesday, April 30, 2008.Helen was born September 9, 1921 in Martin’s Ferry, Ohio to Theodore Rothermund and Margaret Ellen Guthrie. She graduated from Struthers High School in Struthers, Ohio and attended Kent State University. She married Joseph Warburton of Mogadore, Ohio on November 30, 1942 in Struthers.
He preceded her in death on November 9, 1978.Helen was active in the community and served on the Three Oaks Library Board for many years. She was a member of the Community Service Club and the First Congregational Church of Three Oaks. She had worked as a crossing guard and playground aide for the Three Oaks Elementary School.Survivors include her four children, Rex (Katherine) Warburton of San Diego, CA , Joseph Warburton of Three Oaks, Vicki Ballard of Brighton, MI, and Jane (Robert) Warburton-Brown of Ann Arbor, MI; grandchildren Carol (Brian)Jones,Ann (Michael) Goldon, Sarah Warburton, Rebecca (Terence)Kennedy, Margaret Jane (Andrew) Dippell and Bairton Warburton-Brown; three great grandchildren, Lauren Jones, Evan Jones, and Sarah Goldon, and her sister, Mary Gertrude Agey of Boardman, Ohio.
