Helen Jane Thompson, 85, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday, July 06, 2010 at her residence with her husband and children at her side. Born, June 11, 1925 in Washington, IN, she was the daughter of John L. and Eugenia (Bouchard) Hayes.

She graduated from St. Simons High School in Washington, IN and the Indiana University School of Music. After World War II, she married John Thompson also of Washington, in August of 1948. They enjoyed 62 wonderful years of marriage. Helen’s greatest joy was her family; she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved music and traveling.

Helen is survived by her husband, John Thompson, five children John E. Thompson of New York, NY, Genie LeBeau (Steve), of Loveland, CO, Joe Thompson (Abbie) of Danville, IL, Bill Thompson (Kathy) of Bloomington, Alice Galvach (Jim) of Mesa, AZ, eleven grandchildren, Mike LeBeau (Celine) of Estes Park, CO, Michelle LeBeau (McCrea Cobb) of Kodiak AK, Mason LeBeau of Loveland, CO, Amy Thompson of Danville, IL, Andy Thompson of Champaign, IL, Casey, Tyler and Mick Thompson all of Bloomington, Nick and Kristen Galvach of Mesa, AZ, one great granddaughter, Colette LeBeau of Estes Park, CO, three sisters, Barbara Lukemeyer (George) of Indianapolis, Eugenia Beck of Bozeman, MT, and Anna Rockefeller of Huntington, two brothers, Michael Hayes (Carolyn of Denver, CO, John Hayes (Kay) of Washington, IN, sister-in-law, Eleanor McCammack of St. Petersburg, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Jean Thompson.
