Helen Theresa Haycook, age 94, of New Smyrna Beach, peacefully entered into the hands of the Lord on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, with her family at her side.
Born in Paterson, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Josephine and James Lawless. Helen resided in Haledon, New Jersey for most of her life, as well as having a summer home in Barnegat Light, New Jersey. With her husband, she owned and operated Harold Haycook Moving & Storage, retiring in 1972 to Naples, Florida.
Preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Haycook, Sr. in 2008, she is survived by her 3 children, Helene T. Len and husband, James, of Fort Myers, Harold J. Haycook, Jr. and wife, Anita of New Smyrna Beach, Dennis J. Haycook and wife, Vinnette, of New Smyrna Beach; a brother, James Lawless of New Mexico; 9 grandchildren, Heidi Livingston of Winter Springs, Kristin Lutz of Port Orange, Harold Haycook III of New Smyrna Beach, Helene Melione of Ft. Myers, James Len, Jr. of Hackensack, New Jersey, Jaquelin Len of North Heledon, New Jersey, Susan Saffioti of Seaside Heights, New Jersey, Taylor Lakeman of New Smyrna Beach, and Shaylee Lipe of Orlando; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
