Helen Tarzan, age 100, of Olympia, Washington, formerly of Salem, died Sunday, May 25, 2014 in Olympia. She was born February 25, 1914 in Alliance, Ohio, daughter of the late Tudor and Maria (Ses) Ursa from a family of 14 children. Helen was a member of the Romanian Orthodox Church. She moved from Salem to California where she worked for Douglas Aircraft before moving to Olympia, Washington. Preceding her in death was her husband, Steve Tarzan in 1977. Survivors include two sons, John (Charlotte) Tarasut of Lisbon and Robert (Sandra) Tarzan of Olympia, Washington; a brother, Earl Ursa of Texas; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
