Helen T. ( Cotter) Gage, 80, of Middleton, MA passed away August 9, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Edward L. Gage. Born in Lawrence, MA in 1936, she was the daughter of the late William and Lena (Evans) Cotter. She was a graduate of Holten High School, Danvers in 1954. Before becoming a homemaker, Helen was employed with CBS Hytron and the former Ideal Baby Shoe Co. both in Danvers. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and most of all, raising her children as a homemaker. The neighborhood children knew her as “MA” for always being there for them. She leaves her five children, John E. Gage of Middleton, Linda S. Prince of Middleton, Cynthia A. Carbone and her husband Ronald of Middleton, Susan M. Brunet and her husband Raymond of S. Hamilton and Laurene E. Lewis and her husband Karl of Salisbury. Also leaving eight loving grandchildren, William J. Poel, Sean E. Carbone, Angela R. Carbone, Matthew A. Brunet, Nicole M. Hart, Christina Kosvin, Zachary K. Lewis, and Nicholas C. Lewis, two great-grandchildren; Abigail and Hannah. She was the sister of Eileen Tinkham of Danvers and William Cotter of Peabody. She was predeceased by a brother Daniel Cotter. She was the aunt to many.
