She is survived by her children Irene Edward of New York, Pearl Nichols, Helen Olds, Vera Simmons, Ivy Simmons, all of Virginia Beach, and Nanette Hall of Chesapeake, sons Robert Nixon, Earl Simmons, Jr., Marvin Simmons, Gary Simmons, all of Chesapeake, and Lindsey Simmons of Virginia Beach, and Fred Simmons of North Carolina, two sisters Pauline Smith and Pennie Larrimore of Chesapeake, VA, 28 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
