Helen Leona Hartter Roman, 98, of Eureka, IL passed away at 11:00am, Sunday, March 25, 2018, at Select Post Acute Care in Eureka, IL.
She was born February 11, 1920 in Eureka, IL to the late Michael and Katherine Hartter. She married James C. “Tex” Roman on June 1, 1945 in Longview, TX. He preceded her in death on November 7, 2001. Also preceding her in death were twenty brothers and sisters and one son-in-law Harold C. Mayo.
She is survived by one daughter, Katherine Sue Mayo of Jonesboro, IL and one son Robert Lee Roman of Washington, IL; six grandchildren, Robert (Gena) Mayo and Leslie (Jeff) Harvel of Illinois, Kellie (David) Espinoza, Christie Carroll, Scott (Tracy) Campbell and Stacie (Shawn) Noonen all of Texas; eighteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
