Helen R. Priebe, 88, of 28070 C.R. 24 W., formerly of 05367 Boyne City/Charlevoix Road, Charlevoix, Mich., died at 6:05 a.m. Friday (June 16, 2006) in Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born Aug. 9, 1917, in Horton Bay, Mich., to Benjamin and Margaret “Babe” (Spura) Belknap. She married Raymond Priebe on Sept. 2, 1938, in Horton Bay. He died May 19, 1997.
She is survived by one daughter, Margaret E. (Karl L.) Erickson of Granger; one son, Benjamin L. (Marie J.) Priebe of Boyne City, Mich.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marie Pearson of Tifton, Ga.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and George Belknap; and one sister, Bessie Koteske.
